Catherine Bannon

Catherine Bannon just started as a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Manuel Liebeke and Dr. Nicole Dublier at the Max Planck Institute of Marine Microbiology in Bremen, Germany. Bannon recently finished a PhD at Dalhousie University investigating vitamin B12’s role in marine systems by leveraging quantitative measurements.  More broadly, she is interested in how marine microorganisms interact, and how these interactions can have community or ecosystem scale consequences.
